HUNTER & THE DIRTY JACKS
HUNTER & THE DIRTY JACKS
Hunter & The Dirty Jacks are California Crafted Rock & Roll with a sound that spans blues, country, folk, rock, and psychedelic Americana. The band features frontman Hunter Ackerman, guitar players Carmelo Bonaventura and Jon Siembieda, bassist Aaron Barnes, and drummer Brian Lara.

The group’s latest release, “Chase the Moonlight,” was written on the road in the Golden State, from the mountains to the coast. From living rooms, bedrooms, rehearsal studios, sound checks and overnight drives. Fine-tuned live in roadhouses, bars, juke joints, and stages of all sizes along the highways throughout the West.

If you drive the northern route of Big Sur on Highway 1, the Big Sur coastline starts at mile marker 72, the Carmel Valley Bridge. Fernwood, a magical roadhouse in Big Sur that is a frequent haunt of the band, is located at mile marker 47.6. With a run time of 37 minutes and 59 seconds, “Chase the Moonlight” sinks up perfectly with the 38-minute road trip. Was this cosmic fate, or the result of careful planning? What future journeys will these songs sync up to on your path? Let’s take a spin and find out.

Showcasing a live show that features “uncompromising energy and theatrical dominance” (Broke Ass Stuart) that is “befitting of a band that follows the legacy of the Rolling Stones and the Black Crowes” (jambandsonline) Hunter and the Dirty Jacks are a can’t-miss act when they come barnstorming into your town.
