HANS OLSON
HANS OLSON
HANS OLSON is a veteran performing musician with over 40 years in the music business. He began his career as a lead singer in a Rock & Roll band in Southern California in 1967. By 1970, Hans had developed a very unique and powerful solo act.
He plays an amplified acoustic guitar and harmonica. He is known as one of the best "harp-in-a-rack" players in the world.

Hans' singing is very powerful. His voice is comfortable singing many styles of music ranging from mellow folk ballads to growling boogie blues.

Hans' songwriting is one of his most notable assets. He has recorded over 70 of his songs on his 13 independent record releases.

Hans has been a full time performing musician since 1972. He tours all over the world, but most of the time he travels the highways in Arizona where he has an amazing reputation of being a solo act that can rock a nightclub all night long..
MIKE ELDRED TRIO
MIKE ELDRED TRIO
“Mike Eldred is among the rare breed of guitarists who is not afraid of blurring lines in American Music. By bending all of his favorite musical styles, Mike has created his own original voice in modern electric guitar playing. HE’S WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT, BABY!”
- Brian Setzer
“The deeper “The Mike Eldred Trio” digs into American roots music, the stronger they sound” - Goldmine Magazine
"It’s like listening to what the Clash might have done if they had been born 20 years earlier..."
- Blues Blast Magazine
“It's not so much raw chutzpah as sheer love — backed by unassailable musical chops — with which veteran Southern California blues musician Mike Eldred puts on display in “61 and 49,” referencing the fabled intersection in Clarksdale, Miss., that's essentially ground zero in the world of Delta blues.
What makes the album such a delight is the masterful way the guitarist, singer and songwriter paces his trek through a rainbow's worth of electric and acoustic blues workouts. It's the sign of a journeyman who has spent untold hours playing clubs and learning the old-fashioned way what flies and what doesn't”.
- Los Angeles Times
Voted one of the best guitarists in Americana / Roots / Blues music, The Mike Eldred Trio is a roots “Super-Band” with Eldred (formerly with Stray Cat Lee Rocker) and John Bazz and Jerry Angel both from The Blasters! Their first CD (The Mike Eldred Trio) sent shock waves throughout the Americana/roots/blues community with rave reviews from Brian Setzer among others, and gave Eldred the title “best unknown guitarist”. The band's second CD (61 and 49) was voted of the Top Ten CD releases of 2011 by the Los Angeles Times.
The band’s newest effort is a multi-layered blues journey through Mississippi juke joints, prisons, churches, and the small neighborhood called Baptist Town in Greenwood where the legendary bluesman Robert Johnson was murdered in 1938. The trio invited several guests into the famed Sun Studio to lend a hand, and David Hidalgo, Robert Cray, and John Mayer help to tell a story of the dichotomy of the ongoing struggle between poverty and affluence, love and hate, and sin and salvation.
The trio’s 4th album “Baptist Town” is a monumental achievement in roots and blues storytelling, and will undoubtedly grow the trio’s already large fan base that includes artists like ZZ Top’s Billy F. Gibbons:
“El contenta completa”...! This is it. Enjoy this one, top to bottom, bottom to top. The Mike Eldred Trio makes the rounds through a blues-wrapped offering that is certain to satisfy. Rock it!”
SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING
SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING
Smokestack Lightning is a band that gets right to the point, and they use
the unmistakable sound of pain, triumph, loneliness and joy to get that
point across. They take the wisdom of the blues and the mesmerism of rock n roll to split tuneful atoms every time they hit the stage. Since they banded together in late 2009, they’ve
taken cues from their blues and rock forebears to create a truly American sound. The artists of this rising outfit are professionals of music and life. Bassist Mark Leos and drummer Pat Antone hold up the groove like twin Atlas’ supporting Smokestack Lightning’s world of rhythm and tempo. Guitarist Rik Leos and harmonica player Robert Jackson pounce on audiences with their fiery lead work.

In 2011 Smokestack Lightning was nominated for a 2012 Native American Music Award for “Best Blues Recording.”

In 2015 Smokestack Lightning won the Arizona Blues Showdown at the Rhythm Room. The event was hosted by the Phoenix Blues Society and featured several of the Valley’s top blues bands. In 2014, Smokestack Lightning came in second at the showdown.
Based in Arizona on the Gila River Indian Community, Smokestack Lightning has traveled beyond the reaches of their reservation and performed before a wide array of audiences at a variety of venues and events.
