KING COLUMBIA
KING COLUMBIA
King Columbia is a 5-piece stringband formed in the primordial sludge beneath the streets of Portland, OR. This supergroup of Post-Modern Folk consists of 5 singing multi-insrumental songsmen, with Lucas Biespiel on fiddle, Will St. John on dobro and banjo, Jack Maybe on upright bass, and Joseph Waya and Benny Gilbert sharing guitar, harmonica, and percussion. They are bursting with a raw harmonious energy and would love to entertain you.
THREE LEGGED DOG
THREE LEGGED DOG
Three-Legged Dog is today’s version of the string bands that existed all about the country in the Thirties and Forties, groups that played everything – oldtime mountain music, blues, ballads, devotional and dance music, jazz, pop tunes of the day – on acoustic instruments. The Dog takes to the stage with anywhere from sixteen to twenty instruments including multiple guitars, banjos, mandolins, accordion, bouzouki, harmonica, stand-up and fretless electric bass, Dobro and Hawaiian guitar, cello, and fiddle.
LINDA BILQUE
LINDA BILQUE
The ability to combine melody, poetry and story telling with social consciousis a gift that gives on many levels and it is present in the original music of Linda Bilque. Linda’s music has been influenced by her life experiences of always being uprooted early in life and being able to see many layers In the people that have passed by and those who have stayed a while. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania she grew up in the Midwest and migrated to Arizona to experience the “West”. Her first commercial release “Twists Of Fate” captures the flavor of the Southwest with songs like Mother of Mexico which takes place in the Yaqui Indian community of Guadalupe. Lucky is a story of Trailer park love in Tucson and Dat-So-La-Lee which speaks of the tragedy of the lost art of the great Indian basket weaver.

Linda’s release “Side Tracked” visits Loretta at the dollar store, the legacy of the cowboy women of Cochise County in We Were The Cowboys, and the day of the dead and a love left behind in Dia De Los Muertos.

"Borrowing Time", released in 2011 features songs of the road, Empty Places guitar playin Anthem, Mama Got a Six String and a tribute to fingerstyle great John Fahey.

Linda's latest release (2014) Good & Gone is a tribute to "all those we have loved and lost and those left behind." Cowboy's, Christmas, Evelyn and the Lady in The Moon
are just a few of the characters that populate Good & Gone as they try to navigate life's challenges. A lot of foot tappin music on this album!

The subject matter of Linda’s songs is diverse and touches the heart. The songs take you places that you can see and feel in the stories and in yourself.
